With visits and tastings at major domains like château Mourgues du Grès, AOC Costières de Nîmes, Domaine Brice Beaumont, AOC Lirac, Domaine Marcel Richaud, AOC Cairanne, etc.
The aim is an introduction to the pleasure of tasting great wines of Provence, the Rhône valley and Languedoc Roussillon. Or to concentrate on either of these regions. It is not a lecture or a lesson but a pleasurable moment with just some theoretical tasting notions for amateurs or novices. The practical work includes one or two tastings each day, domaine visits and meals with chosen wines.
The two day courses take place at le Mas d’Anez, in French or in English for 5 or 6 persons. You shall taste many unknown wines from excellent growers and also some stars from different "appellations".
Tailor made courses can also be organized to suit your needs with top ranking wines. Meals are taken with the group and cuisine is homemade and provençal.
* Thierry Mantoux is a wine expert for the French courts, a columnist for Bettane & Desseauve Tast pro and la Revue du Vin de France as well as the author of "Les vins de Bourgogne". After having been the CEO of several major champagne and wine houses, he is a director of a consulting firm. He also teaches wine industry management at the University of Avignon.
